"Nortt's Graven is an epic masterpiece of ear splitting melancholy and woe. The album drags you deeper and deeper into a vast ocean of sorrow. Each song drips forth agonizing and tortured melodies straight from the darkest of nightmares. Nortt's grief-stricken vocals are far from anything that sounds human. And his, what I call "Frankenstein groans" are truly an eerie thing to hear. Graven sort of reminds me of the old school Burzum- Hvis lyset tar oss days, as it leaves you with a strange chill of doom hovering over your awareness. Graven is also raw and in your face, and at times it can be hard to find the melodies if played too loudly over average quality speakers. It is however quite splendid when listened too through a set of headphones. So, if you're into music that gives you chills of doom, Nortt's Graven should join your collection."
