One of the greatest R&B bands ever, at their live peak

"It's incredible that there's only one review of this record here, so let's make it two. This is one of two live records the band recorded at the same time, the other being God Bless Us All. It's one of the greatest bands ever to walk on stage, at their peak. It's smoking, it's funny, it's serious fun - serious in that each playing is a master of his instrument, and fun because they never take themselves or their business too seriously. This band deserves recognition far beyond what it has received. Guitarist Al Anderson, blazing here throughout, has left the band, but they're still a tremendous act, both on record an live. Check www.NRBQ.com if you want to know more, but buy this record first. It'll knock you out."

"NRBQ have released a few live recordings but this one seems to capture the band's comraderie. They are having fun and so is the audience. Everything seems spontaneous yet well coordinated. They are a fun, cohesive band. This disc is a blast! I've worn out my cassette and am purchasing the CD!! Thanks Uncle Q!"
I DIG IT AND LOVE IT!

"This is a great live set with a real fun collection of songs. Other live NRBQ cds have the usual greatest hits but this one digs deeper.
"What a nice way to go" is about dying when your doing what you would like to do when your about to die. Who wouldn't want to die when making whoopee? Its a great song yet it is still a real song and not some goofy novelty number.
"That neat, Thats nice" demonstrates the incredible musical interaction among the band members.
"It Comes to me naturally" is a rocker with Al Anderson ripping on his telecaster.
"Macho Maria is a little bit mariachi and a lot a bit typcial NRBQ. Its a great song.
"You are so beautiful" shows how gorgeous Al ANderson (I think) voice was.
Only NRBQA could pull this off but they do a karaeoke version of Billy Joel's "Just the way you are" and actually make it worthwhile and enjoyable. Believe it or not, this is a worthy entrant on the cd.
I feel that this and "You got to be Loose" are the 2 best live works. It is NEVER a subsitute for seeing them live."
