CD ReviewsThis item has been discontinued by the manufacturer - say no Philip Bradshaw | toronto canada | 11/26/2008 (3 out of 5 stars) "This cd isn't awful. The word that to me best describes Oasis' third release is disappointing. After two superb recordings I was expecting so much more. I wanted these fellows to keep their streak alive. They didn't come close! Compared to Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory the music here is plodding, heavy handed and unimaginative. The songs are too long and, at 72 minutes, so is the cd. I don't know whether the lack of "spark" is a result of trying too hard or not hard enough? What I do know is that I wanted to love this when it was released eleven years ago (I didn't) and I wanted to discover that I was initially mistaken when I listened again today (I wasn't). So there you have it! On the other hand I have continued to purchase Oasis cds as they are released. As of November 2008 I am still hopeful that the boys will rediscover the magic and, indeed, I have to admit that there have been exciting moments on each of their last three. However, as far as Be Here Now is concerned it's back to the cd rack for another decade. Maybe in 2018........?" Be Here Now Bjorn Viberg | European Union | 03/29/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "Be Here Now being Oasis 3rd studio album and their 1997 release was highly anticipated both critics and fans alike. The result is a good album but it is not as good as the prior album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. The songs are very long and sometimes the sound is a bit bloated. The album did amazing and topped the charts in countries such as France, Austria, Sweden and the UK. Songs that standout on this release are "D'You Know What I Mean?" , "Stand by Me", and "All Around the World". 4/5."
