ODYSSEY is a French heavy-metal band that exists in its current line-up since january 2001. Before the band turned to a trio, they played Progressive heavy-metal, sung in French by the excellent Jean-Jacques FANCIULLOTTI. The departure of the second guitarist led to refocus the music around the musicians' main influences (Yngwie MALMSTEEN, IRON MAIDEN, EUROPE, DEEP PURPLE, AC/DC...), as they developped new compositions enhancing the joy of playing and the melodies. Released on the Brennus label in 2005, the first eponymous album was produced by Marc FORTUNATO, who is also the leader of MZ. An urgent discovery !
