Prayers, incantations, forest blues, blessings....

"I find it astounding that only one person has so far reviewed this unique and incredible CD. It is not really classical music as the other reviewer said. Schroer himself said his music is "prayers, incantations, whimsies, melismas, mysteriosos, fractal reels, forest blues, blessings." There is a lot of celtic influence, but it is quite uncategorizable. He took a recording studio in his backpack when he walked the El Camino pilgrimage trail in Spain and recorded himself playing solo violin in churches along the way. He also recorded church bells, people walking and talking, sheep and goats, and other sounds. Oliver Schroer was a Canadian. He died of leukemia in 2008.Watch him playing here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3lQEfrCF_0&feature=related"
