"Ku'u Home o Kahalu'u has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. The guitar work is magic, and Jerry's voice and lyrics go straight to the heart. I'm in college right now, and whenever I'm homesick I just put it on. Most of the other songs on the CD aren't that great, but i give it five stars for the opening track."
This CD makes you homesick for Hawaii.

"A beautiful collection of local songs that reminds you of Hawaii (especially if you were raised there). Mellow and relaxing."
A must have

"The most remarkable band from Hawaii, Olomana came up in the 1970's, and the songs are influenced by acoustic folk music of that time period. If you grew up in Hawaii, this music is deeply imbedded in your psyche, especially if you are from the windward side of Oahu. Jerry Santos' voice is a too beautiful to describe. I don't understand why the first critic said the only good song was "Ku'u Home o Kahalu'u." Every song has so much meaning. "Home" will make any local homesick. "Light in the Lady's Eyes" brings tears to my eyes. If you can get a hold of a copy, their first album (out of print, it's even unavailable used on amazon) "Like a Seabird in the Wind" is absolutely lovely. The best bet is to get the sampler "Through the Years," lay back and hear the ocean in your mind. This band is not as commercial as the Cazimero's or Keali'i Reichel, but you'd be missing an important aspect of Hawaiian music if you don't check out Olomana."
