Good but could have been better

"I am one of many huge Omarion fans and the album was alright, like when I heard it the only thing that made the album were the first two hit songs "Entourage and Icebox". They were already hits but, other than that, I didn't see any of the other songs becoming hits. Maybe, "What are We Doing, Just That Sexy, or Been With A Star." But, I think with some of the other songs on the album it seems like it was another "Touch" song. Like "Electric, Obsession, Just Can't Let You Go,Beg For It,and Do it" those were the ones that reminded me of "Touch". His first album was better. I think he would have been better off doing slow songs."

"With O's first album, he left you with the feeling that he has so much more to offer. With 21, he brings forth a much stronger effort, and really channels his inner Michael Jackson. Now im not saying that he is MJ, im simply sayin that you can see that he was trying to create a more dance record instead of trying to shake that pop mold that he had with his first album. And he really gets alot more personal on this album. On his first album, you could tell that he was just making an album full of pop hits, and songs that could possibly shake his boy band image. Now with this album he emerges more mature and much more sophisticated. Instead of doing songs like "Touch" where he pretty much says i just want sex, he does songs like "Just That Sexy" where he sings about the womens sexiness instead of just saying i wanna have sex with you. "Just That Sexy" is the perfect example of his maturity level going up. Not only in what he is saying, but also in the way the song sounds with its steaming hot production from the Underdogs and its booming bass, and he even sounds more convincing. And thats one area where O needed improvement. He has never been a really good singer, and that unfortunetly showed on O, but on 21 he really uses his voice alot better. And then on timeless classics like "Ice Box" he really goes all out. "Ice Box" is an amazing song. Its production alone makes it worth listening to. Its so dark, and yet, because of Omarions rough vocals, it really paints a good picture of the message the song is trying to deliver. And then on sexy club songs like "Beg For It" he shows he still has that dance club vibe to him with out losing that grown man feel on other songs to. Bottom line, on 21 he really shows his versatility. I would have never expected Omarion to do a song like "Made For TV" on his first album because that song is mature slow burning heartfelt ballad. And then he turns around and sings about a long nite with a jumpoff girl, while his girlfriend is at home sleeping on the synth happy roaring "Midnite". Overall this album is alot better than his previous, and it really shows how he has matured.
