"If you're a fan of Hong Kong cinema, then you'll automatically recognize the music in this soundtrack/movie. The main theme (General's Mandate) is one of the most famous songs/compositions in martial arts/Asian cinema.
This album takes all the exact versions of it that are in the movie, with additional versions by Jackie Chan and a group of unkown singers. Unfortuantely, the main theme version with lyrics from the movie isn't on this disc, but replaced by the two already mentioned.
Basically any music in the movie is on the soundtrack, even the goofy American and British background songs (Yankee Doodle). It's an awesome album if you're even remotely of fan of Hong Kong films and even if you're not.
But, make sure you get the 17 track version. I can not speak for whatever version Amazon is listing with 15 tracks. The 17 track version has absolutley no English on it whatsoever and has a orange swirl on the cover with Jet Li all in orange. The back has the students on the beach all blurry with orange sky as well."
