"Stanley Crouch says that it takes true courage to perform jazz in this day because you will never be as succesful as the p diddys and madonnas of the world, and i believe that Brent Jensen shows that courage. having been blown away by Brent's last few albums, I had high hopes for this disc as well. when Brent handed me this disc a few weeks ago, I was elated that I was going to be one of the first people to hear it and when i popped it into my CD player (and later my IPOD) every track on it blew me away, from his "coltrane" like playing on "EJ" (of course Jensen's soprano tone is much warmer than Coltrane's) to the piano sax duet of "Alone Together" and the effortless improvisations that fill the disc from all the performers, this is one disc for the world to hear."
