The ONE NIGHT BAND originally formed in 2003 to do a "one-night-only" performance of their favorite old reggae and ska songs. Since then the band has release a critically acclaimed debut album, played close to a thousand shows around the world and have toured with bands like Lynval Golding (Specials), The Planet Smashers, The Flatliners, Chris Murray and Mikey Dread just to name a few. The latest offering of true-blue dirty ska, soul and reggae, Hit & Run, was produced by the masterful Mr. Brian Dixon of the Aggrolites and was recorded live off the floor in mono using antique ribbon mics to preserve the authentic sound and ethic behind this form of music. Gritty, soulful and ass-shakingly catchy, Hit & Run serves up 15 dancefloor bangers with a respectful nod to the old-school Jamaican sound while adding their own innovative and tough-as-nails new-school flavor to the mix.
