"The group One Riot One Ranger, maybe not quite yet a household name, will someday be familiar to anyone who truly appreciates the timeless sounds of banjos, fiddles, guitars, mandolins, accordians, dobros, and bass, and the easy vocal harmonies of musicians who know and love the music they perform. Instrumentally, these guys are more than a cut above what passes for mainstream talent these days. And their unique version of "Long Black Veil" is well worth a trip to the record store. As is the sole instrumental cut on the album, "Sunset Girl." Not entirely bluegrass, not really country, can't pigeonhole them into folk - just a great mix of styles that will wear well with repeated listenings."
Best music payoff ever

"I picked this one up for a buck at the local music store in the bargain bin -- best dollar I've ever spent on music! I'm sorry that these guys aren't yet popular enough to stay out of the bargain bin, but it was enough to hook me, enough that I'm back to buy their latest album. If I lost this CD, I'd buy a replacement without blinking. If you like the speed of rock and also the melodies of a little country now and then, these guy's lively bluegrass style will get you movin'."
