"I really enjoy bellydancing to more techno-driven tunes but was starting to feel a little guilty about not dancing to more classical tunes. This CD is a really good spin on some belly dance classics. Mrad's takes on Neptidi Mnain el Hikaya and Leilat Hob are particularly good. I've been playing this CD quite a bit since I bought it and I expect I'll dance to some of the cuts, and definitely use this when I teach a class. This is right up there with Six Degrees of Arabian Travel Vol 1 for me."

"Would've been a lot better without all the techno toppings: the sophistication of the original tracks used for this disc gets totally lost under the one-size-fits-all techno beats. If you're looking for techno with an oriental flavor: fine, but doesn't work the other way around without devaluating the source."
Good for background music as well as performance.

"Some of the songs seem to evoke a mood rather then to get one up & dancing. Those choices are great for performing slower numbers where one would want to use interesting implements such as fire, swords or wings. They are also pretty handy to play before or after a performance to keep the atmosphere going. The drum solo (Disturb) piece is indeed fantastic. Most audience members take notice really quickly when that one comes on!
Overall, a pretty good CD to keep around."

"I am very new to this whole world of Middle Eastern Belly dance Music & even though I don't know how to Belly Dance well, I'm hooked on trying, hopefully for the rest of my life, or at least as long as my body will cooperate! I recently bought this CD & enjoy the sounds so much, regardless of if I even were trying to Belly Dance at all! It's excellent & when I do try to practice my moves, there is always a song that fits. Said Mrad is fantastic & I'll definately be looking for more CD's by him. This one is so good, I don't see how any of his other one's wouldn't be!"

"I heard this title song "Mille & Nuit Nuits" in the performance of Bellydance Superstars, and that striked me !!! The rhythm ! The beat ! The groove ! You just can not prevent yourself to go with the flow !So I bought this CD, and dicovered there are more gems inside. The title song "One Thousand & one nights" has 2 mixes in this album, both are marvelous. The pure dnace beat is really danceable, and it really burst into a flame when the singer appears --- with just one word "My Beloved" (of course in Arabian). "Where Do We Begin" is really awesome. Starts with finger cymbals, primitive percussions, and then the electrical beats. The orchistra comes in and your concious begin to blur ..... It is fairly good for bellydance, but, it is a wonderful selection for a successful party !!!"
