Loathsome Remix of a Great Song

"If you like WWE professional wrestling and/or the Hank Williams Jr. type of music (especially his Monday Night Football theme music), then you will love this CD. For the rest of us, this must be one of the worst corruptions of a dearly loved song, and certainly the worst aberration of one of the greatest bluegrass songs of all time. The remix versions are truly offensive and each evoke that feeling of loathing that revolts and sickens the senses. If you like NASCAR, then this might well be the CD for you, but the rest of the sane world will reject this musical abomination. Shame on the Vols for perpetuating the destruction of such a wonderful song! The only saving grace is that the original version of the song is on the CD-- but I wouldn't suggest buying it only for that or else you show that you support the remix versions! Go and seek a CD by the Osborne Brothers so that you may have the original version of Rocky Top as well as many of the other great songs by these wonderful and talented performers!"
The Quintessential Rocky Top!!!

"This is the quintessential *Rocky Top* that you'll hear blaring out of car and dorm windows all over The Hill on game day! The one bad rating by a reviewer here reminds me of the night the Vols defeated Florida and the goalpost came down with the CBS camera still attached and was carried away by a massive throng of Orange Faithful. According to a report in the Knoxville newspaper, a desperate cameraman approached a police officer and asked him to help secure the camera. The police officer, eyeing the *Host of Volunteers* numbering hundreds, yea, thousands, ushering away the post and camera, simply replied, "You a yankee, ain't ye?" Buy this one, play it Loud, and let your Bluetick howl along!"
