(As an added bonus, there's a second version of "Loco por Ti" with vocals.) This kind of music is hardly subtle, but Lopez is capable of that as well, as he shows with "Corrientes" and "Loving You," both of which exemplify the expressive power of the acoustic guitar. And then there's "Aires de Otros Mundos," which wouldn't sound out of place in a road movie that featured lonely mountains and arroyos as part of the landscape. --Genevieve Williams« less

CD Reviews
I will wear out this CD in no time - it's so good !

"I had a Narada collection with Oscar Lopez in it and it was so good that I have to have his own CD. According to the review on this site, this should be a good buy and it's true ! I did not regret it at all, I don't care if people saying that this is not true flamenco or not, you must admit that this guy Lopez is a genius musician. All the songs are so good, they have excellent melody and riffs. My favorites are "The Flavor", "Baila,Baila", "Rosa Rose", "Black guitar", "Loving you" is a beautiful ballad , so as "Vientos del Sur", "Loco por Ti" , and if I have to pick one song from this CD (which is very hard), I have to go with "Gentle Seduction", it has such a haunting melody. The sound quality is excellent except for one "minor" thing: the begining beat of most of the songs are louder than the rest of the song so if you record them on a cassette, adjust to the proper level, otherwise your ears will suffer a little !"

"I originally came to know this style of music when I received the Narada collection Gypsy Passion as a gift. I loved it so much, I went on to order Gypsy Soul, but also wanted to begin building my own collection of single artists. Of all the talented artists on the collections, my first choice was Oscar because to me he is not only technically superb (as they all are), but also an incredibly passionate artist. His music touches me deeply every time I listen to it - I "see" it so clearly, I could almost paint a picture or write a story. Whether the particular piece is high energy or slow and romantic, you will definitely FEEL it! Fantastic work - excellent CD - I would highly recommend it."
Increible!

"I have been a big fan of guitar music for the last 30 years. There have only been a handful of musicians that have impressed me. Oscar Lopez is one of them. I bought this album a couple of years ago...along with others like Jesse Cook and Ottmar. This album is an incredible piece of work. I play this album over and over and find new riffs that I discover. The music penetrates your soul and is addicting. All of the songs are excellent. My favorites are; Baila, Baila, Cerca de Ti, Corrientes, Gentle Seduction, and Mulata. I highly recommend this album...it is well worth a listen but once you hear it, you'll get hooked, Oscar is so passionate in his playing, you can almost see him play the guitar."

"This CD will sweep the listener to a musiclandscape of lush color and passions. Evoking emotions of yearning, desire and all the subtle nuances of love. My favorite is definately the melodic and hypnotizing track "Loving You" which flows with seducive musical magnetism. Listen once and you will want to listen a thousand times more. Try it."

"I just thought anyone interested in this cd or Oscar Lopez's genius in songwriting and playing MUST consider buying a copy of Dancing on the Moon Contigo. This Cd is apparently no longer made, and definitely hard to find, as it is not even listed here on Amazon, but if you dig through your local used cd stores, there are copies still around. This cd shows Oscar's immense songwriting diversity unlike any other cd I have heard from him. It is INCREDIBLE. Oscar's cut from the Narada compilation album "Gypsy Passion" is taken straight out of this album. Trust me. It is worth the time and effort to find. Please Email me if you know of anyone else that holds a candle to Oscar or his taste in guitar."
