"Who puts these box sets together? People who were not even around at the time the hits were made? This is, without a doubt, one of the worst box sets I have ever seen. I was anxious to check out this box set being an Osmand fan. I was hoping for ALL of the hit Osmands, Donny & Marie and solo singles. Well, they certainly are not all here. This may be a good box set for a casual fan, but for the serious collector - forget it. This box set could have even contained another CD or two. It should have also contained those hard to find Osmand classics that all Osmand fans love but can't find on CD anywhere such as "Love Is" from their LP "Phase III" and the rocker "One Way Ticket To Anywhere" from the concept album "The Plan." And so many solo releases by both Donny and Marie. What about the great 1977 hit for Marie "This Is The Way That I Feel" - where is it? That one is difficult to find anywhere. I was very disappointed in this box set. It could have been much better. I'm anxiously awaiting the day the powers that be decide to release ALL of The Osmands LPs on CD, especially mid to later albums such as the excellent "The Plan," "Love Me For A Reason" and "Phase III." The LP "The Plan" should have been released on CD years ago!!!! - That was the album that proved The Osmands could rock, create beautiful ballads, had matured and were not in the "One Bad Apple" phase of their lives anymore. Donny had also already matured and was ready to move on, but nobody would let the poor guy, including the media. While the powers that be are at it, they could release Marie's "This Is The Way That I Feel" also. I would suggest buying individual Greatest Hits compilations (such as The Osmands 21 Greatest Hits, The Best of Donny Osmand, Marie's solo CDs, etc. etc.) instead of this box set. You would be happier doing that and waiting until a REAL Osmand box set is released and the release of other Osmand albums on CD. For fans of Donny, read his book: Life Is What You Make It - My Story So Far - a very insightful book and a good read."
A good collection, but not complete

"A good three disc set that spans the careers of the Osmond Brothers, the paring of Donny with Marie, and the solo years (even the youngest brother Jimmy is included). The problem is not with the tracks we get, but with the tracks that are not included. For example, missing are Donny's remakes of "I Knew You When" (the flip side of his early 1972 top ten hit single "Hey Girl") and "C'mon Marianne." Another track that would have been nice to have in this collection is one from Donny's comeback of the late 80s & early 90s, the hit single "My Love is a Fire." It also would have been nice to get Marie's other solo top 40 pop hits (though minor) like her 1975 remake of "Who's Sorry Now" or "This Is The Way That I Feel" (from 1977). Big fans will also miss Donny & Marie's "The Umbrella Song" and "On the Shelf" (their attempt at a dance tune). The 53 tracks included represent some of the best pop and country songs ever recorded. Collectors and fans should enjoy reminiscing, as all of these tunes bring back good memories. My favorites are the early Osmonds' hits "One Bad Apple," "Yo-Yo," and "Down by the Lazy River." After listening to this box set you will want to watch reruns of the original "Donny & Marie Show" from Friday night television (and sing along to "A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock 'N' Roll")."
GREAT!

"I must be going through a "retro flashback" because I find myself after 30 years enjoying these songs all over again. I enjoy them now, but I'm glad this cd is the original recordings and not new recordings of their old songs. After all this time, I can still remember the words! They all have aged gracefully. And I'm so glad we can get their music again. At one time, it was very hard to find."
GREAT HITS-but not enough of them

"Most of the classic hits of the Osmonds are included in these 3 C.d's but, as usual, there are hits missing. Where's "On the Shelf","This is the way that I feel", "Who's sorry now", "C'mon Marianne", "My love is a fire"! All top 40 hits and great songs. They added album cuts instead and the one's chosen are not even the better songs. If you're a new fan, then I recommend this set but for long time fans like myself this is a waste of money,if you're looking for songs new to c.d. The original albums need to be released on C.D!!! Five stars for the OSMOND FAMILY. Two for the people who compiled this so-called box set."
A MUST BUY!

"This CD collection is awesome! I just love it. I listen to them everyday--especially the "brothers" CD. You will find them to be toe-tapping, heart-beating, always-smiling, need-to-be-dancing, memory-filling fun! If you love (or just like) the Osmonds, you'll love this collection box set!"
