Synopsis

Album Details
The Combination of Guitar and Didgeridoo Seems Perhaps an Unlikely One, Until You Hear it for the First Time. On "Baka", Martin Cradick and Graham Wiggins Forged an Agreeable Alliance Between European and Australasian Folk Musics ("an Dro Nevez" May Be the First Breton Traditional Tune Ever to Feature a Didgeridoo!). They were Joined by Future Outback Members Ian Campbell and Sagar N'gom on Percussion. Outback Crosses the Cultural Music Barriers and Interweaves them Without Pretentious Artifice. The Eclectically Blended Traditional Australian Didgeridoo and Modern European Acoustic Guitar Compliment One Another Perfectly. You Can Hear the Bark of Australian Animals on the Didgeridoo, Feel their Movement Through the Racing Acoustic Melodies on the Guitar, Sense their Presence. You Are on Walkabout: The Sound, Smell, Taste of the Outback Are Here.

CD Reviews

Great CD

"I didn't like this one as much as "Dance the Devil Away", but it is still a very good CD. I just liked the spirit in "Dance the Devil Away" more than this one. The didg and guitar work are outstanding on both albums-the later "solo" material by these two wasn't nearly as good as the magic Outback captured."
Not to be Missed!!!!!

"Easiest album I have ever listened to hands down. I'm not one who enjoys much world music, but even I can appreciate the beauty of this album. Melodic, rhythmic, and will just put you in a better state of mind! As an Australian I'm saying that 'Baka' perfectly captures the essence of Australia and is one of the best kept secrets in music."
