Pleasant new-age

"I tend to divide "new age" music into two categories -- music that's truly artistic, and music that works well for relaxation but is often produced without a lot of other redeeming values.
Oysten Sevag strikes me as being somewhere in the middle. They're not Peter Kater, but they aren't some empty keyboard group either. There's plenty of variation to the music, and occasional flashes of creativity, but this won't be mistaken for a work of art.
However, it's generally well done music that's very relaxing and occasionally moving."

A balance between Jazz and New Age

"I originally picked this album up in the store because of the picture on the cover. It looked interesting, but the music blew me away. This music is perfect for relaxing or spending time with your significant other. The blend of soothing melodies and rhythm create a perfect atmosphere for massage. If you've never heard of Oystein, take a listen. The 30 second clips online don't do the album justice, but they do give you a small taste of what's on the album."
