CD Reviews

Nostalgia for sure, but audio and video lacking quality.
Andreas Novak | Farmington, New Mexico | 08/28/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Agree with the other reviews on this dvd, just be prepared for some really poor quality video and not much better sound. I suppose it's all about how the original was taped, and considering the vintage perhaps to be expected. I was just a bit diappointed with both audio and video, but the band definitely showed up and rocked!"
Ozark Mountain Daredevils -1980 Reunion Concert

"This is a very enjoyable and entertaining dvd. It is good solid country rock. Some highligts that I realy enjoyed included the performance of

"Chicken Train". This is humorous and entertaining, while one band member is singing the song, another band member is "cackling" like a chicken.

Also, I really enjoyed the performance of their classic hit "Jackie Blue".

Another "hidden treasure" I found was the performance of "A Satisfied Mind". It gets humorous again with their last performance, which is a performance of "Commerical Success". They put on over-sized sun glasses, and say "We're going to get a little kinky now". Overall, this is an excellent concert dvd to have and to watch. Its nice to have some good humor along with the great talented music."
Finally, Some OMD Exposure

"Much thanks to those that taped, stored and unearthed this treasure, the only OMD video I'm aware of. The band rocks, the sound is good and although the camera is sometimes on the wrong player, there's no nauseating quick cutting, panning and worthless behind the drummer views that make so many concert videos unwatchable for me.

Enjoyed seeing so many members together, including all the primary writer-singers, plus sometimes drummer Steve Canaday plays guitar and sings an original of his. How many bands can claim four high quality singer-writers?

Terry Wilson is the primary lead guitarist at this concert and his rocking slide work especially spices up Larry Lee's Oh Darlin and Jackie Blue. Lee is on piano for those but is otherwise on drums, hidden behind a cymbal.

Certainly not much to complain about this video. More Lee songs would have been nice and another original John Dillon tune instead of his version of Porter Wagoner's Satisfied Mind. Here's hoping for a DVD of their 2006 and 2007 Wildwood concert reunions."
