"Being both a parent and a composer, I was really looking forward to hearing Runaway Bunny. As a child, who loved the golden books recordings and, of course, Peter And The Wolf, my hope is that many young people get to hear and "feel" this wonderful music."

"Not since my kids & I listened to Peter & the Wolf have we so enjoyed a narration with musical accompaniment.Glen Roven's beautiful orchestrations and his portrayl of the situations the "Runaway Bunny" finds himself in, his subsequent adventures with the circus, mountain climbing, fishing and ultimately, his Mom, are richly satifying and are even more enjoyable on repeated listenings.I highly recommend this production. The composition is superb and exquisitely played by the orchestra."
Classic Classical

"Glen Roven's evocative and emotionally stirring violin concerto, THE RUNAWAY BUNNY, colors and complements the classic tale as effectively as any children's book illustration. His themes conjure vivid pictures of the frolicsome bunny, soaring mountaintops, the rollicking big top, and a mother's loving embrace. The music is splendidly served by Ittai Shapira's virtuoso performance and Brooke Shields' heartfelt narration. It is hard to imagine a more successful collaboration. Children will be charmed by this accessible and engaging work, and adults will be increasingly impressed and rewarded with each new listen."
