Synopsis
Album Description The Introduction of Page France hums of a fairy tale. Come, I'm a lion! is a magical piece of work- a dangerously sticky conjunction of folk and early American stoner pop. The songs are presented through hazy, dime store sounds- floating accordian keys, slurring guitars, and the occasional trap-set, saucepan percussion. From the cynic-natured children's sing-a-long, "air pollution", to the cumbersome, "we remain as two", this collection of songs serves as an exposition of all moods, both musically and lyrically. CD ReviewsEh Katie | Kansas | 09/14/2007 (3 out of 5 stars) "Some of these songs actually are nice. Most of them, however, particularly Rhythm and Northern Light, are repetitive and homogeneous. It would be nice to have some variety in regards to the vocals. There is next to no instrumental diversity. I won't deny that the album as a whole sounds pleasant, but it's not much more than this. Listen to Hello, Dear Wind instead; even though it came out less than a year after Come, I'm a Lion, it is a vast improvement."
