"with a lot of famous dj's ( lawler, pappa) leaving the dirty side of house to play a more mellow style (boring), this cd is like a breath of fresh air. Palash doesn't follow the trend, he keeps playing dirty, dark and sexy progressive house like the one you can hear n' dance at space, miami. IMO this is the best compilation of the year so far. Hey Palash....keep it loud & dirty, please."
Mainstream appeal vs Quality dance music

"It appears Palash has opted to go mainstream instead of pushing deep quality underground house. The CD is nothing like previous Saeed & Palash material but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The bad thing here is that listening to this CD, none of the tracks stood out and some weren't danceable. The cd flows smoothly and the tracks are played at the right time, but they still lack depth, hot bass lines, and all the ingredients that dark, underground edgy factor made previous Palash releases special.
I'm sure Palash will make a lot of new fans with this release as well as lose a lot of older ones."

"When I first heard that Palash was coming out with a new solo compilation I couldn't wait to hear what it was going to sound like. His previous compilations with Saeed on Tide:Edit and Addictive Beats made my jaw hit the floor many times and the mixing was damn near perfect. I've always preferred Palash over Saeed as he mixed the harder & darker house & tribal. Well this CD isnt quite like that.
It's also important to note that you guys simply cannot play this CD at low volume, it was made to be played really loud and thats when you hear the juicy part of the beats just like with most house, tribal, progressive beats.
It starts off quite boring with the first two tracks and then slowly gets better and better as the beats go on.
When track 4- "I cant explain" came on I waw blown away - WOW what a slick track and my feelings were similar later on. Track 5 - "Prepare Yourself" is insane and it stays that way all way until track 9 - "Work Together" where Palash just simply blows me completely away all way until last minute of track 13- "Persia".
Being a fan of dark Tribal & House I was almost completely satisfied with a few progressive beats thrown in.
Yesterday I was driving from Upstate New York back to the City, my friend popped this disc in and I listened to it as I was going to sleep - what an amazing journey of sounds.
Keep up the good work Palash and you guys go out and get this at your local record shops!
btw: Palash: you better blow the f!c!in roof off at Avalon NYC when you spin there this November! You and Saeed were sick at Crobar NYC a few weeks back !"
Solid peak time progressive house

"As his first solo release, this set is the longest I've ever seen for one disc. I think the entire disc is 79:00+, which is crazy for a one compact disc set. I think Palash really set out to pack two discs into one, and succeeds. After listening to track one, which is on James Zabiela's Renaissance set at the end-peak of the second disc, you know that Dj Palash means business. The entire set is total progressive peak time house, and the mixing, although not up to the technicality of Sasha or Danny Howells, still makes you want to move. I really enjoyed how he takes the set up to track seven, peaks it, and brings the intensity down just a notch for track eight. Afterwards, track's nine through 13, especially track 13, becomes main course for the dancefloor.
A very strong set, reminiscent of 'Lights Out' packed into one disc, and certainly a disc that won't leave your cd changer anytime soon. A well deserved five out of five stars for Palash's first mix."

"Palash has put together a crazy mix of raunchy stuff even better than anything he ever did in collaboration with Saeed, if you can believe that! The first half of the album would make any fan of dark & twisted house music happy, but then he blows the roof off at track 8 and never looks back. The music's definitely on the cutting edge and would sound ridiculous in a big club with a booming sound system. Fans of his earlier stuff, and anyone who digs Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Sander Kleinenberg, etc. should buy this with absolutely no hesitation."
