Harsh EBM with a few twists

"Closer to harsh EBM than most Hive releases these days, "Witness to Our Collapse" is a decent-but-not-outstanding debut that has its ups and downs. The vocals are delivered mostly in the sort of constant-distortion wash like Grendel, but there are some exceptions. A guitar (or very guitar-sounding synth -- hard to tell with the distortion) creeps in here and there, along with the occasional piano. Overall, it sticks to the same sorts of club-oriented synth lines like most bands in the genre, but it distances itself with the occasional slow and pensive track, or the booming and ponderous title track. The album ends on a much gentler note, but it feels oddly out of place."
