Album DescriptionParley Belnap played and recorded these selections on the organ housed at the Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies in Israel. Sitting atop Mount Scopus near the Mount of Olives, the eight-story center overlooks Jerusalem from the east. On the top floor, the organ is perched at the back of a 334 seat recital hall surrounded in glass to optimize the panoramic vista. Facing opposite the organ, the audience can simultaneously savor an organ recital and bask in spectacular views of the Old City. This compact disk showcases the instruments varied sounds and features a broad mix of styles that should appeal to a general audience.
