CD Reviews

All the Worldwide hits from DC & PF from 1970-1975!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This Australian Import released almost 2 years from it's US original, contains 4 bonus tracks. Previously unavailable on CD, The Puppy Song was a #1 double-sided hit backed with Daydreamer in 1974. The other 3 songs were the singles released in 1975 from David Cassidy- The Higher They Climb-The Harder They Fall. The versions on this collection are the original LP versions. Get It Up For Love caused a lot of controversy and therefore never made a big chart dent here or in the UK. A remake of The Beach Boys Darlin hit the top 20 in the UK. And the original version of I Write The Songs made it to #11 in the UK. You can find slightly different versions of I Write The Songs and Darlin on David Cassidy's CD When I'm A Rock 'N' Roll Star and California Music & Disney Girls-Various Artists CD. The California CD contains 4 Cassidy single version songs (including This Could Be The Night) and Bill House version of Common Thief."
