One of Passport's better CD's from the "white" period

"This is Passport's 16th album. It is 42 minutes long and the sound quality is very good.



Passport really isn't a band. It German saxophonist Klaus Doldinger with various studio musicians that change every few years. Passport follows the prevailing trends of jazz. Doldinger started out playing traditional jazz, but formed Passport to play jazz fusion. Much of it was very good. Then when jazz moved on to soft, Sunday Brunch style, he followed.



I consider this part of Passport's "White" period. All of the album covers have predominately white covers. The music during this time is soft jazz. Some of it is very lifeless and boring. Some of the compositions are just repeate themes. But, most of it has a very beautiful sonic quality. It just isn't something that interesting to listen to.



This is one of the better albums from the white period. It has more life and the compositions are nice and fluid. I have ripping the songs I like and will be getting rid of the CD's. On some of them, I have found only one or two tracks that I like. On this CD there are 4 I am going to keep.



All of these Passport CD's are out of print and sell for around $30, used. I will probably sell mine. I am doing myself a disservice by giving them negative reveiws."
