Wonderful, mellow reggae

"This is one of the few CDs I'd like to give six stars to. I hadn't heard of Pat Kelly until I came across him on allmusic.com, and I chanced it with this CD. I couldn't like it more - very mellow and some of the most soulful Sixties music I've ever heard. The reggae beat somehow makes it seem a little more contemporary than a lot of Sixties soul, despite the fact that these are obvioulsy old (and very slightly scratchy) recordings. Kelly's voice is amazing - like Curtis Mayfield when he was with the Impressions. It's relaxing, beautiful music, and it's one of the best CDs I've bought."
