"This is an obscure treasure, hidden on the vast assortment of meanless CDs out there. This is a masterpiece. I am a drummer and I usually don't buy guitar-player solo CDs.



This one is different. I listened to fragments of a couple of the songs at the great Tommy Aldridge website ... and I had to get the CD.



I'm glad Amazon carries it but it took several weeks to arrive. Well worth the wait. The 37 second piano intro tells you right there that this CD was made with respect to taste.



After that all you get is a very pleasant to listen to group of songs until track number 9. Well, track 9 isn't bad but it's just a look-how-fast-I-can-play type of song that trades good taste by annoying endless streams of notes.



But don't get me wrong, out of 13 songs, 12 are EXCELLENT and that's pretty good. I'm impressed with Tommy Aldridge's bass drum work on this CD because there's some weird left-foot leaded patterns that although complicated and hard to play are perfect for the songs.



Again, the musicians played for the song, not for their egos -- and the listener is the winner. Great CD, highly recommended. I wish I knew about this guy's work back in 1999. This is the perfect CD to listen anywhere and it's just perfect in a V8 sports car."
