"...Why wasn't 'Gotta Go Solo' included on Patti's 'Timeless Journey' like it was originally advertised in Billboard magazine. A few months ago, I picked up Patti's CD expecting 'Gotta Go Solo' to be there, but no dice! Oh well, time for me to remaster 'Timeless Journey', and include 'Gotta Go Solo', and you should do the same! Dump the original CD! This error by Def Jam Classics sucks, but Patti fans should eat this LaBelle/Isley duet up big time!

Fairs Well When You're Solo

"I definitely am quite surprised with well known collaborations that work out very well. For Patti LaBelle, that is just nothing new for her record Timeless Journey which had some great collaborations with Floetry and Santana. Surprisingly, her collaboration with Ronald Isley a.k.a. Mr. Biggs from The Isley Brothers wasn't even displayed on her Timeless Journey record. The duet fairs very well, but isn't one of her best songs that was released. Perhaps it would've faired better is there was a better connection in the song. Not only that, but if it was re-released as a track on Timeless Journey, it could sound a little better.
