"I listened to this growing up. I still have the album - scratches and all. The first song is broken off.I have been trying for years to find another. I was overwhelmed to find it on Amazon and on a CD. Now I can share it with my child and think of what Christmas used to be with my family."
CHRISTMAS GOLD FROM THE 50'S

"This CD will give you an idea of what Christmas sounded like on the radio in the 50s. Yes, you couldn't get away from Bing with White Christmas or Gene with Rudolph but you heard many other great recordings on the radio and these were some of the most played. This album was originally released Christmas 1951 as a 10" lp (8 songs) and became a full length 12" LP in 1955. The CD you are now looking at not only includes the entire 1955 LP but the bonus cut BOOGIE WOOGIE SANTA CLAUS from 1950 which was the A side of the TENNESSEE WALTZ. Until the release of this CD you could only find Boogie Woogie Santa on the original 45 or 78 or on the Christmas 78 later released. Patti gives great readings of WHITE CHRISTMAS, THE CHRISTMAS SONG and some of her original 50s Christmas singles including PRETTY SNOWFLAKES, CHRISTMAS BELLS and the biggest hit on the CD, THE MAMA DOLL SONG."
