"I fell in love with Patty Pravo (real name Nicoletta) when I was I child. She was beautiful, blonde and one memorable summer (i learned to swim in Sorrento and realized I loved to look at the rough sea) sang a song called Pazza Idea which haunts me after almost 30 years. i listened to her throughout my life but only really listened as i drove an alfa Romeo on the italian autostrada from Sorrento to fiumicino airport in Rome after a sad but romantic adventure. I was in that melancholy mood that reflects both the happiness of times passed and that sadness that starts to fall softly in your heart. I was in complete harmony with Patty's beautiful songs. Apart from the music and the lyrics, her voice is deep and liquid. She does not scream and she carries the note just as high as it should go. there are too many songs to highlight and your favorites will depend on when, where and with whom you heard it first. They certainly don't write or sing them like they use to."

"All of Patty Pravo's greatest hits + a few classics like Mille Lire al Mese and some neopolitan numbers. Mina is Italy's Barbara Streisand and Patty is our Shirley Bassey."

"If you're looking for Pravo's original recordings for some of the titles don't buy this CD. The recordings are all from the 80s and I can't say that they do the artist any credit. I feel that I wasted my money."
