"Patty Pravo is quite stunning and her voice is really without compare. It's amazing to think that she is virtually unknown in the States. Not to worry, though, as Amazon.com has kindly stocked up on "Tanto" and other Pravo re-releases. "Tanto" was once-upon-a-time difficult to find and I hear that vinyl copies are still fetching a high dollar with collectors. A good part of the interest stems from the fact that Greek composer/synthesizer artist Vangelis handled the arranging chores on this release. And it more than shows. His trademark synth sounds, replete with a live choir, are all over the music. I suspect he's playing percussion on some tracks, as well. If I had to place the "era" of Vangelis' sounds, I would put it somewhere between "Heaven and Hell" and "La Fete Sauvage". In other words, vintage Vangelis soaring over the inimitable Ms. Pravo. Really divine, and, as mentioned, readily available (at a very reasonable price) on Amazon. What are you waiting for?"
