This is "Spirits Colliding" by the remarkable singer Paul Brady, justifiably well-known at the start of his career for Irish folk music -- HOWEVER -- his career has stretched a long way from "trad. arr." to contemporary singer/songerwriter pop music, today. He's collaborated with Andy Irvine and Tommy Peoples, Matt Molloy, Andy McGann, Sean O'Casey, John Vesey and many others over the years, and produced at least a dozen jewel-like solo albums that feature his remarkable, clear voice. Here's a tracklisting for Spirits Colliding (1995):

Track listing
"I Want You to Want Me" (5:59)
"Trust in You" (5:26)
"World Is What You Make It" (4:22)
"Marriage Made in Hollywood" (5:10)
"Help Me to Believe" (4:57)
"You're the One" (5:34)
"I Will Be There" (4:14)
"After the Party's Over" (6:17)
"Just in Time" (5:10)
"Love Made a Promise" (5:04)
"Beautiful World" (4:55)

Paul's contributions here include vocals, guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, tin whistle, piano, keyboards, drums, percussion. Some old friends here in the liner notes -- and look for a turn by Béla Fleck on Banjo, too. Excellent.

"Before, when buying a CD, I did so with the expectation that I was not going to like or enjoy EVERY track - I just didn't think that could be possible; Spirits Colliding has since changed my mind. Each track is a joy to listen to."

"I just discovered the magic of Paul Brady's music a couple of months ago and can't believe I haven't heard of him sooner. He is a brilliant singer/song writer and "Spirits Colliding" is an amazing album. I would highly recommend it to anyone who appriciates quality music with meaning, which is very rare in todays music world. Every song is packed with emotion. Very powerful, beautiful music!"
