CD ReviewsNew Celtic Moon Susan L. Greer | Boca Raton, Florida | 06/25/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Of course I would give it 5 stars. But very disappointed in the CD and the false advertising. It said people who bought Ancient Moon Rising Sun also bought New Celtic Moon. Not a good choice. I am now stuck with both and they are identical. The only thing different is the title and picture on the CD. All the music and wording on both CD's is the same. I love Ancient Moon Rising Sun. So why wouldn't I rate New Celtic Moon high. But because of your false advertising, I now own two identical CD's. I just purchased New Celtic Moon and now that it's opened, I'm stuck with it. I do love the music, but only need one. I'm not sure who is responsible for your advertising, but it would be nice not to be misleading." If You Love Hammered Dulcimer Music...... Robert Pease | Stanley, WI United States | 11/25/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "If you love hammered dulcimer music, this is some of the best. I was at a party given for a man who was running for a local office. In the corner was a CD player with this disk in it. It was on track four. I looked at the CD's case and discovered it was "New Celtic Moon, Between Worlds". I do like some of the Scotch and Irish music but was not sure about Celtic music, much less hammered dulcimer. As I listened more carefully and fell in love with "Between Worlds" immediately! I was able to listen to the rest of the disk and the other pieces also became fast "friends". The Paul Haslem Consort has just the right mix of the hammered dulcimer, human voices, strange exotic sounds and what seems to be an orchestral back up that is absolutely wonderful. I love to listen to the special nuances of each of the pieces. I like a piece that has high notes of one instrument played against low notes of another instrument. See if you can hear the "ssssss" sound in "Between Worlds". Some of the tracks of the "New Celtic Moon" invoke certain feelings and imagery within me. One track makes me think of a young woman dancing gaily in a meadow in the bright sunlight. Another of the sun just coming up over the mountain tops. Still another of fencing practice. .....And more. Even if you do not care for Celtic music but love hammered dulcimer music, I think you will like this disk. My original disk was stolen from me. After more than a year of searching, I am very happy to have "found" it again."
