Best Hindemith choral performance...

"The sound, recording and performance on this disc is the very best I've ever heard of these pieces by Hindemith. The sound is very natural and full. There are other recordings by this conductor and choir of the Mass, but this particular recording of it is the most masterful. The Mass itself was the last music Hindemith worked on before his death in 1963. In particular, the performance of Gloria is the most angelic of any music I've ever heard. Hindemith himself no doubt would have given these performances his own stamp of approval."
