The perfect music for film

"Paul Kelly had in "Any given Sunday" his first dive into music for movies, and it has to be said: he did an outstanding job at it! Previously he had scored several commercials, so this album is quite a departure from that type of work, sharing with it only the short length (less than a minute)of some the songs. Amazon offers the listeners a very nice collection of MP3 excerpts of the album, which the users can download and play at ease once and again, totalling some 17 minutes of Kelly music. His style: very close to that of master Daniel Lanois. You will also find the style of this album similar to the soundtrack of "Traffic" and "The Insider." All in all, an outstanding new name in the scene of film scoring."

"first of all,this is NOT the australian paul kelly. this guy is a former blues/funk artist. i say former cause this disc is a major departure from his other stuff, good thing too,cause his other stuff wasn't very good. here he makes a disc that is purely instrumental.it's all pretty well slow moving,dark/ambiantish guitar work that would not be out place on a soundtrack to a good thriller movie.worth picking up."

"This CD has a great mix of instrumental songs. Some are from the soundtrack for the movie Any Given Sunday which I found out when I went on the paulkelly.com web site. Turns out this Paul Kelly is not the Aussie or R&B artist, but in fact an American film score guy who is new on the music scene. A great first effort, especially if you like ambient and world music."
