"This is an all-star line up of some of the biggest names in jazz today. Motian brings the group together with fantastic textures and arrangements of these beautiful old tunes. Bill Frisell also plays a large and magnificent role in shaping these tunes with his unique sound. Lovano and Konitz weave around and away from each other wonderfully, as Haden lends his own unique playing. The unity of the group is fantastic, we can only hope that the "On Broadway" series will be re-issued, as well as many of Motian's earlier CD's. Why is Paul Motian not recognized in larger circles for his brilliant artistry?"
