A Guilty Pleasure

"OK, before MTV, before Don Kirsnner's Rock Concert, and since Ed Sullivan only was on weekends, where could one get their music fix? "Where The Action Is" was on in the afternoons, & Paul Revere & the Raiders where practically the house band. They had great AM hits like "Hungry" and "Him or Me (What's It Gonna Be) was the first 45 I bought with my allowance. Fuzz bass pumping on the transistor radio helped make these songs popular. I don't expect Generation X, Y, or Z to really like this, but, my fellow baby boomers, let this collection take you back into time when life was fun, and a lot simpler to enjoy!"
Best of the Raiders on a Budget

"For the price, this is the ideal Paul Revere and the Raiders "hits" CD for those of us who bought the singles of their most prominent and successful hits back in the 60s. Eight of the ten songs are their biggest and best: "Just Like Me," "Kicks," "Good Thing," "Hungry," "The Great Airplane Strike," "Him or Me - What's It Gonna Be?" and "I Had a Dream." Sound quality is excellent and appears to be the original 45 recordings. If you want everything the Raiders ever did (including minor hits and non-hits), you might want the "Anthology - Kicks" CD, but at that price, it still doesn't have Mark Lindsay's classic hit, "Arizona."
That's why I chose to get this bargain CD and Mark Lindsay's CD, "Arizona" which has the original recording of that hit. Arizona"
