Two new songs from each band supply the listener with a perfect combination of isolation and darkness. A perfectly realized emotion comprised for the upcoming winter months. Scanners tracks are a distorted foray into beats and ominous soundscapes while Pelican City bring to mind early horror film classics combined with late night Sci-fi TV. One of the highlights that this adventure has to offer is the second to last track, Pelican City and Scanner combine their talents only to come up with one of the strongest pieces to rival many of the former collaborations either band has previously done. Playing off each others talents gives this release an even darker feel than any of their original pieces. You could even call it Soundtrack Music without a movie."
