CD Reviews

Pete. raises the rock banner

"I have two words for anyone considering this album: buy it. I heard "Sweet Daze" on the radio, and thought it was good enough to give the album a try, but some of these songs on this CD are simply amazing. "Awake" gets a head of steam behind it to the point that it explodes into its finale. "Bury Me" is a smoldering rock ballad that will have you raising your lighters in approval. "Cold Cocked" is an adrenaline-fueled song that will have you singing along with it at the top of your lungs. "Untied" is an intensely yearning song that can send chills down your spine. "Drugstore Alibi" will make you want to mosh - even by yourself at home. "All Love is a Lie" is a percussive powerhouse of a song that is destined to become the breakup song of more than a few high school couples. In truth, there isn't one song on this record I couldn't just press repeat on my CD player and listen to it over and over. And at least in my experience, that's a rarity these days."

"the website is currently down, but for now you can find us on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/sonicult

this is probably the easiest/best way to keep track of us right now as we gear up for the release of our new album and our spring/summer tour schedule"
One of the best rock albums in years

"I saw these guys live on the show "Reverb" on HBO, and was instantly hooked. And the CD doesn't disappoint. If you're into Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, or the Deftones, you'll dig pete. Puddle of Mudd may have Fred Durst behind them, but pete's CD is so much better. The lead singer has a voice like Aaron Lewis of Staind - able to sing restrained, beautiful melodies, yet practically scream to the absolute top of the musical register. Just listen to the samples on Amazon of the first 5 songs. You'll agree. A great band on its way up. This is powerful stuff. In this age of bland manufactured pop, true musicianship like this is truly honorable."
