Another Australian Talent!

"Pete Murray- So BeautifulUsually you buy an artist's single and if you like it then you splash out and purchase the whole album. In the case of Pete Murray, I decided to buy the entire album and take the punt! After listening to the album I just had to have any other tracks released by Murray! This was the only reason I decided to buy this single, as I already had "So Beautiful" on the album. I'm just glad that I did end up buying the single because the other tracks on it really are something!Describing the title track is no effort. It's simply stunning. It takes you away and you easily get lost in the song. It's a song about people changing, and those around them not liking what these changes have brought. The soft, but at the same time powerful, vocals of Murray, along with his soothing tone, ensure a truly chilled out and enjoyable track. Musically, the simple guitar really gives the lyrics justice, as the vocals don't get lost in heavy band music, which can often too often in ballads. We are eased into the music throughout the song and the emphasise remains on Murray's voice (as it should)!Track two and three are further success for Murray. He tells a story with his music, and there is no exception with these two tracks. The vocals once again draw you into the song to make it almost an experience. The music is much the same as "So Beautiful" with background guitar and drums being present, but not overbearing to the song. You can discover just how unique Murray's voice is in these tracks. Brilliance!Track four, "To a friend" is an honest, sad tale. Murray's emotions really come through in this track. He makes you believe the song. Here we learn of a friend longing for the company of an old friend, "My friend, come out and play with me. Cos I am lonely....I think you know every secret that I hold". The lyrics are magical and Murray's voice is the perfect outlet to convey the emotion. This one makes you want to pick up the phone and catch up with a friend that you never seem to find the time to ring, but often think about. This song is more of a case of lyrical content however the vocals and music just add to the beauty of the track."
