CD Reviews

Power in song

"3 powerful LPs on one CD. Pete Seeger at his best, I feel this music beautifully captures the underlying spirit of the 60s protest era. I particularly like the live tracks. "Bring them home" is indeed a tour de force. More reasons why this great crusader should be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his services to humanity. Really worth revisiting, or for those younger than myself to sample and appreciate. Great stuff Pete!"
Sounds that heal.

"I had this album in vinyl and could no longer play it. The first time I heard the song Rainbow Race, I cried. I remember the move to save the planet in the 60's and then we all forgot it. Pete Seeger never did! He sings about how he hopes the planet learns to get along and how he hopes they save the environment. He has spent his life championing these causes and is now in his 90's. I felt so guilty having dropped the ball, begun by us "flower children". It made me pick it up again and work for the planet."
