"Pharoah Monch has always been a lyrical MC since his days with the highly slept on group Organized Konfusion. After an 8 year hiatus Pharoah comes back with an intelligent and creative album with advanced word play and great production to match. Desire is the best hip hop album of 2007 as of June and could stand the test of time throughout the year unless Common, Kanye or Talib Kweli can knock him off the throne. The track "Trilogy" and the title track "Desire" is enough for you to purchase the CD alone...Peace"
Honest review, half good half bad.

"First half of the album is great, 2nd half is sorry R&B garbage. I am pretty dissapointed, since I was really anticipating this album. Also seems like Pharoahe really shortened up his verses, many song are extremely chorus heavy. Pick up the mix CD instead, titled Pharoahe Monch - The Awaikening."
