A truly collectable and noteworthy album.

"This was the follow-up album to Phyllis' self-titled 1977 Buddah release. Though never issued here in the U.S., some of its songs were included on her Arista debut LP "Somewhere In My Lifetime". Arista apparently wanted to move Phyllis into the mainstream pop and R&B markets so they chose to shelve this album. Nonetheless, this is a very good album and is full of languid, jazzy ballads and all are expertly handled by Phyllis."
Great gem, but at this price, keep it!!

"This is truly a gem, but save your money. I almost rated it one star instead of the 5 I gave. I had to remember that I'm talking about the great Phyllis Hyman and not the seller. Anywho, in order to get the songs that are on this cd, buy the Best of Phyllis Hyman: The Buddah Years and Somewhere In My Lifetime. It's overpriced, and I bet none of the profit will go to the Phyllis Hyman estate or anything that she represented. Don't play us for fools, man!"
