Great music, AWFUL sound quality

"For some reason, Madacy has used a ton of noise reduction on these recordings. The piano sounds like its coming through a waterfall or something. Very murky, digital sound. Don't waste your money and get a nicer 2-disc set from EMI."

"I've been wanting to get into classical music for the longest time. I didn't know where to start until I came across this gem of a CD box set. I am so happy with it. There is some AMAZING material from Beethoven on disc one including track 3 (III. Presto Agitato.) That there is intense! If you need an introduction to classical music look no further because this set will do the trick. I'm in your shoes I'm a newbie and this is the place to start. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I recommend this to anyone looking for good old fashioned classical music or an introduction."
