"Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto #1 is my favorite Romantic piano concerto and this version by Ronan O'Hara is one of the best you can find. The concerto is coupled with excerpts from The Seasons (sadly without the famous "June"). The playing is excellent and the sound is of high quality. (Incidentally, the Penguin guide rates this CD as outstanding.) If you are looking for an inexpensive yet high quality performance of this concerto, look no further. Highly recommended!"
