"Are You a fan of Rosemary Clooney? Are you a fan of Marian McPartland? This super CD is taken from McPartland's N.P.R. radio show, "Piano Jazz" in which the brilliant jazz pianist interviews a single guest for an entire hour, listens to her guests perform and often performs with them.On October 14, 1991, McPartland interviewed Rosemary Clooney who, by now, must be considered a national treasure of pop and jazz singing. The interview, itself, is revealing and charming; fun and informative.Together they perform Gershwin's "Love Is Here To Stay," Mercer's "My Shining Hour," Weill's "September Song" and "Porter's "Don't Fence Me In." McPartland also plays three piano solos. It is not only an entertaining album, it is an important document of two great, mature artists. It's hard to find, but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
