"It is amazing how EMI can produce such gem CDs such as this ! This Brahms Piano Trios set is WORTH it. As soon as I heard the first piano trio, I couldn't help but smile. The recording is excellent and both piano and strings sound solid. Even Gramophone attests it: " The tone is warm, ripe and full, with a resonance, particularly helpful to the strings....The music is so sympathetically interpreted by all concerned." Not only does it contain the three piano trios, it also has as a bonus the Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34. If you love Brahms, this is a steal :)."
