"Cut 6 (A medley of "Moonglow" and film composer's "Love Theme") is the highlight of the album. This is the music featured during the sensual dance between stars William Holden and Kim Novak. My heart thumps when I hear it!"
A faithful reissue

"This s an exact replica of the 1956 LP soundtrack, only now it is in true stereophonic sound. George Duning's score is unique and sticks in the memory. The marriage of "Moonglow" and the "Love Theme" (from the dance scene) is a masterpiece and will stimulate in your mind the visuals which it accompanies. The sound is quite good considering the age of the tape masters."
Pleasing in every way

"I have seen the movie Picnic hundreds of times and love it as much now as when it was released. Part of the reason for enjoying the movie is the soundtrack. I own the original album and of course purchased the CD. The music evokes many emotions,in particular, the beautiful and romantic Moonglow and theme from Picnic. I love the entire sound and highly recommend this soundtrack especially to those who appreciate the music of the fifies."
The best musical score ever.

"I saw this movie as a teenager and again and again, many, many times. It embodies all that Hollywood excelled at...a simple folksy story of a small American town and its down to earth inhabitants.
Without detracting from the films excellent cinematography, and acting performances by Holden, Novak, Strasbourg, Robertson etc.etc., its musical score I would rate as the alltime best, and would think that Morris Stoloff's musical talent has not received the accolades he deserves. Whatever happened to the track of "Ain't She Sweet"...and as for "Moonglow" the best arrangement ever! Were there any other film soundtracks that Morris arranged or conducted?

"I LOVED THIS MOVIE AND THE MUSIC. THE ACTING WAS WONDERFUL AND WILLIAM HOLDEN HAD TO BE THE MOST APPEALING MAN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A MOVIE OR IN REAL LIFE."
