CD ReviewsWhat a prick fred the hellgod (phil miles) | bristol, england | 07/26/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is a grindcore album, you should expect short, brutal blasts of sound. This band will probably be too heavy for a lot of people due to it's intense, brutal nature. However I advise you to try it, seeing as the band demonstrate that metal can still be challenging and raw. Hey, if you don't like it, you can go back to your Linkin Park and Papa Roach albums." Early Pig Destroyer!! Glenn T. Thiltgen | High Point, NC | 12/17/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is one of the earlier Pig Destroyer albums, very hard to find indeed. Very rare. Most of the songs on this cd can also be found on "Painter Of Dead Girls". This cd along with another was a split collection. The recording is not very well, this is for the hardcore collector of Pig Destroyer. If you don't collect cd's and don't enjoy a cheap recording. Try one of their newer cd's to listen to before you buy this one. "Prowler In The Yard", "Terrifier", "Painter of Dead Girls", "38 Counts of Battery". This is a very complex band, J.R. Hayes the vocalist has a very amazing talent for writing, read the lyrics and inserts for very great short stories. Pig Destroyer also feature Scott Hull from a band called Agoraphobic Nosebleed. "AN" is much like Pig Destroyer in a way, short songs that are hard and dangerous to the ears. -Glenn Tiljen" [...] Tom | Bellevue, WA United States | 11/29/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "This split rocks... Most people can't appreciate the intricacy of the instruments (Scott Hull can PLAY) and the just plain bestial speed and brutality. This is not for everyone by any stretch, but I love it. This is some of PxDx's best stuff. Benumb has 4 songs as well, and they are good, not great, but good. Buy this if you like grind, if you don't go listen to your pop! Linkin Park, Matchbox 20, Puddle of Mudd, N'Sync, it is all the same thing. Get this when you want to figure out what people who LIKE the music they play do."
