"Finally America has answered the call of British Trip Hop!! And Pigeonhed is the answer. This has got to be one of the MOST original CD's that I ever heard--to come out of this country that is!! Totally expecting this group to be Brits (again), I was shocked to read that they are red blooded Americans. The influces of Black music abound here--and Pigeonhed gives it the greatest of respect--without a doubt, "Battleflag" NEEDS to be picked up on the Hip-Hop circuit!! That tune is quite phenomenal. No wonder Lo-Fidelity wanted it on their album!! Blues influence drips from some tunes, and it's done quite well. Like another reviewer said, they NEED to get on the charts to alert the rest of America!! Get this CD and you'll know what I mean!!"

"Here is America's answer to the British Stars of Trip Hop. With incredible originality, this funk/blues/new age/trip hop group named Pigenhed has definitely produced one of the most hynoptic sounds of the past few years. "Battleflag" is an incredibly strong head bobbing piece, and it's understandable as to why the Low Fidelty All Stars wanted to use it on their album. This group definite needs to get even bigger than they are--perahps the best gift would be to have a chart stopping hit here in the USA? The sound of Pigeonhed varies--from an eighties sound, to a hip hop flava, to a sleepy new age feel. All in all, a quite unique band--one that the Brits are sure to copy, as they ususally do!! By this CD!!"

"It takes a lot for an album to really trip my wires but this one does it, and then some. I'm a huge fan (like all the other reviewers, I know..) of Shawn Smith's other projects- Brad and Satchel are both outstanding groups and their music fills a huge void in contempory American Music- namely emotional, soulful and intelligent music that you can both immerse yourself in or just really groove too. What sets "The Full Sentence" apart is that it blends all those characteristics with some heavy funk and dance rythms and several of the songs just make me wanna...well, you know."
Not to be compared with Brad and/or Satchel

"I am a big fan of Shawn Smith. I purchased both Pigeonhead CD's without hearing any of the music. Shame on me. I simply recommend that someone that enjoys Brad or Satchel try to listen to a sample of the Pigeonhed music before purchasing. It is synthesizer driven and very different from the other music I have heard from Mr. Smith. I am moved by his vocals on all other CD's I've heard from him, however, it is my opinion that his vocals do not overshadow the music. If you like synth and techno maybe this CD is for you...just not me."

"Shawn Smith is the hardest working man in the music business. Heading-up and contributing to everything from his main band Stachel to providing back-up vocals for the Aghan Whigs, Smith keeps putting out the right stuff. "The Full Sentence" is one AMAZING accompishment. Using vintage equipment, Smith and veteren cohort Steve Fisk have engineered a funk masterpiece. Whether it be the soul-searching "Fire's Coming Down" or the heading-nodding "Battle Flag," this album will NOT dissappoint."
